I believe that dressing should be an adventure every day and not a chore. What do you guys think about that statement?
What about on weekends when you’re just lounging around at home? Well before you reach for the same old jeans you had on yesterday, and that all too familiar, comfy top, why not stop and take a little journey into your wardrobe.
What have you got in there that attracts compliments? Do you have tops that make your eyes pop and your skin look radiant? Then move them into pole position! And what can you do with your outfit to take it from mundane to magnificent? Throw on a gorgeous scarf, a fabulous pair of shoes, or a flattering dress?
I wanted to be casual and comfortable on the weekend but inject some fun into the mix. So I started with these metallic babies.
Then I worked a micro-trend that’s bubbling away on the fashion scene – a belt worn over a scarf.
This is a great way to glam up a boring top. Another trend gaining serious traction is tying or knotting a belt around your waist (think how you tie a dressing gown belt). No doubt I’ll give that a go when the mood takes me.
Bling it on!
Converse sneakers with a skirt or dress is a fun option. Pity the weather has put a dampener on things and it’s back to coats and boots this week.
