This is my all time favourite going out outfit – and my hubby’s too! He gets quite exasperated over the leather pants. From the indomitable Sass & Bide fashion duo, these leather-look pants set me back more than $200 but were well worth it. They’ve had a serious number of wearings over the past couple of years and become more on-trend every year. The sequinned jacket was a gift from my very generous brother Shannon, he picked up three of them for his favourite gals while holidaying on the Island of Ibiza. The pink stretch singlet was only $5.
Details like silver zips make these pants interesting. And there’s no shortage, with three zips on the front and two on the back. While the front ones are for looks the back ones allow you to get your legs into these pants. This Diva cuff was a gift from Mum and is very detailed and has helped make many outfits great.
I’m looooving these groovy patent leather hot pink Nine West shoes.
They were another $30 bargain from DFO. I’ll let you in on a little secret – I bought four pairs of shoes at the same time while there was a 20 % off sale. When you are buying up big like that (most people buy one pair of shoes at a time!) you can afford to negotiate. So go on and be brave girls and ask for a bigger discount. This time I didn’t have to do that, as the heavily pregnant salesperson offered further reductions without me even asking. While taking this photo I almost killed the heels on the deck – one of the pitfalls of stilleto heels – watch out for drains and other traps. As for the handbag, Guess make some great ones and this pink number is compact and comfortable but still fits in all the necessities – purse, keys, phone, mints, a colourful array of lipsticks, lip gloss, tissues, pen and gum.
u must v been a journo!! such down to earth informative stuff
Even as a male I can’t help but feel proud to be the father of a girl (woman) setting out to show others what and how she revels in always looking fantastic and trend setting whilst not costing her husband lots
