Just when you thought fashion mavens were happy to let down their hems and immerse themselves in knee and midi length skirts . . . designers are shaking things up, and up and up.
Hemlines look set to head north again, and when you see the likes of supermodel Kate Moss stepping out in a teeny tiny black mini with pleats on one side, you know it’s time to head to the gym!
I’m a fan of cobalt blue and this mini flip skirt ticked all the right boxes when I spotted it in a designer garage sale on Saturday in the city. Scored it for $1!
Instead of taking the conservative route today and pairing the skirt with a fluffy pink knit, I opted for some Va-va-voom with a Zara python top. Animal print is still a force to be reckoned with, and design guru’s such as Michael Kors are embracing it in a big way in their 2014/2015 collections. Not your thing? Don’t turn your back on it just yet, why not try a subtle but totally gorgeous introduction to python or leopard print with a scarf, shoes, or a handbag!
Put a few extra minutes into accessorizing this morning. The result was some serious bling, which tied in with the embellished jacket.
I did an internal closet clean out yesterday – what I mean is I chose to forgive and make peace with a certain person I had a fiery run in with a few months ago. And I can’t believe what’s happened since. My phone has gone gangbusters with my agent booking me for a television show tomorrow and a tv commercial Friday. Also, she’s put me forward for two more big tv ads next week. Bring on God’s favour. I hope you guys have some great things coming your way this week.
By the way, I’m test-driving the matte pantyhose I picked up in Target (2 pack for $10) and they are great – sheer and comfortable – and so far they’ve lasted eight hours without a run. And now you’re Looking Good Girls!
“You are the light of the world – like a city on a mountain, glowing in the night for all to see. Don’t hide your light under a basket! Instead, put it on a stand and let it shine for all.” Matthew 5:14-15.
