It’s been a whirlwind couple of weeks my lovely fashionista’s and I’m desperate to pass out on a beach under a lovely shady tree. And that’s exactly what I’m going to do tomorrow!
I’ve started a job styling ladies with very deep pockets in a beautiful boutique in a prized beachside postcode.
On top of that, I spent most of last week on the set of ‘Molly’ – a tele-movie about Molly Meldrum and the Countdown years – which is expected to air later this year. Out of respect for the wonderful cast and crew (the effort and hours they put in is just gruelling) my lips are sealed. But what I can mention is how blessed I was to score a speaking part (blink and you’ll miss it!). Watch out for the killer 70’s and 80’s clothing and birds-nest fringe.
Throw in an audition for a lead role on a television ad (I even cried on camera but didn’t get the gig – maybe I pulled too much of an ugly cry-face) and the launch of my own e-boutique, and its been one heck of a fantastic year so far!
If you’re heading to the beach this weekend, a strapless dress like this little number is ideal for taking you from day to night. Fine jewellery has been de rigueur for a while but the fashion pendulum has started swinging back towards chunky – with a definite emphasis on 70’s styling. Take note of the layered arm candy and the wedges!
The weather is finally cranking up this weekend and I hope you guys get to enjoy it. Whatever season you’re in (I’m not talking about the weather here) remember it doesn’t last forever but an attitude of gratitude will enhance the journey.
