Fur & velvet

Fashion and style almost took a back seat to snuggling up today . . . almost!

But I redeemed myself by mixing the winter essentials of a warm, cosy outfit, with a bit of joie de vivre. After a run and walk this morning – mostly in the rain – I couldn’t wait for a hot shower and equally hot outfit. And I’m not talking about the sexiest LBD (little black dress) and killer heels here.

These black velvet leggings worked a treat. If there’s one thing you invest in this winter (beside a gorgeous coat and a divine leather number) let it be velvet leggings. If you’re body conscious cover up with long tops and jackets, and if you’re not, then flaunt it baby!

Adopting the apres ski look, I paired them with a white fur coat, perforated Valleygirl knit with lace panels, fur-lined wedge boots and a Jay Jay’s knit vest complete with fur-lined hoodie and pom pom’s.

Winter has arrived early and as a result, we are cranking up the open fire and have the floor heating on. This is challenging weather for every fashionista . . . lets take it in our stride with aplomb shall we?  And now you’re Looking Good Girls!
