Started out the day quite snazzy. There’s nothing like a bit of high-shine to pep you up!
This was ladylike and appropriate for chapel, which I’m so pleased I went to because my big boy received an award for his excellent storytelling in writing. Following in mum’s journalistic footsteps? Maybe!
I’ve stumbled upon a cute little op shop which is where the gold animal print singlet and kitten heels came from. The Equipment knife-edge pleated skirt is an oldie but a goody.
I’m not used to wearing long, loose tops and I didn’t want to look like a sack so I accentuated my waist with a metallic gold belt.
Threw on some major gold earrings and an orange cuff with gold hardware for a bit of interest. And now you’re Looking Good Girls!
I almost forgot to mention . . . it all went downhill after this. I went for a run and got all sweaty – the best bit was jumping in the pool after. Sadly, make up ran everywhere and I looked more like Alice Cooper with big black eyes. By the time school pick-up arrived, I resembled a drowned rat in a white summery dress.
“Who can find a capable wife? She is far more precious than jewels. The heart of her husband trusts in her, and he will not lack anything good.” Proverbs 31:10-11.
Don’t tell your mother where that cute little op is will you
Get ready to splash some cash Daddyo! Mum & I are going to rock the place. Xxx
