I’ve just had the most rewarding week, acting alongside the gorgeous Michala Banas (Winners & Losers, McLeod’s Daughters) in the ABC television series Upper Middle Bogan.
Out of respect for the entire cast and crew I can’t say much, but I can tell you Michala is as gorgeous offscreen as on, and more importantly, she is friendly and down-to-earth. She even apologised about using my name for her character (you’ll understand if you watch the show).
I capped off the week working on a Lockwood television commercial with a couple of seasoned Aussie actors. After watching them in action, I really need to go and practise expressions in front of the mirror! The director and crew were awesome and the ad is wickedly funny, and should go to air in a few months.
After a couple of solid days of working my wardrobe for television, it was relaxing to slip into my new favourite Zara jeans. Picked up these baby blue’s in the city store last weekend and I’m loving the relaxed fit and silver zips.
The weather is divinely mild and my newbie sandals beckoned. Paired them with an orange Diva cuff and triangle earrings.
Life is so full of ups and downs. After last week’s influx of tv work, so far this week I’ve had four knockbacks for various ads and tv shows. Them’s the breaks! But I’m not deterred, I’m thoroughly enjoying my ‘apprenticeship’ in tv land and can’t wait for some bigger breakthroughs. How’s your week panning out?
I’m off to watch my highly competitive nine-year-old Hudson run a 2km cross-country run. And now you’re Looking Good Girls.
