There’s just one thing missing from this outfit! Can you guess what it is?
It’s this animal print baby of course. Hermes Birkin anyone? Given the starting price for a handcrafted Hermes Birkin handbag – the ultimate symbol of wealth – is about $8000, this is the closest I’m likely to get to one! But I’m not too fussed, I’m smitten with the colour and look of this Condura bag, which I found in an op shop last week for $3! I read recently of a billionaire superyacht owner who had a wardrobe specially fitted-out on his boat to accommodate his wife’s Hermes Birkin collection. With the price of some of these scarce and exclusive bags escalating well into six figures, that’s a serious wardrobe!
If a handbag accounts for half the fun of putting an outfit together, then a groovy pair of boots or shoes makes up a large chunk of the rest. Pulled these studded suede numbers out of a box I had packed them in and it was like discovering treasure.
A patterned knit skirt is a great trans-seasonal piece to add to your collection. As the weather plummets I’ll be wearing it with pantyhose or leggings. I’ve teamed it with a Country Road wool jumper.
And what kind of day would it be without some studs and bling!
Knuckleduster anyone? Fashion is oh, so much fun.
If I can find some half decent photos, I’ll show you tomorrow some of the television and film antics I’ve been up to. And now you’re Looking Good Girls.
