Hubby and I went on a little date today! What a luxury to go out for lunch together, sans children.
I was lounging around in my Nike velvet tracksuit (very J-Lo!) wondering if I could muster the energy to scrape myself off the couch. More importantly, what on earth was I going to wear for our midday rendezvous? And this is what I pulled together . . .
I indulged in a bit of retail therapy yesterday, and found this fuchsia mini-dress for $15 at the DFO. Bargain! Actually, it’s a gift from my birthday (which was back in July) I’m still taking my sweet time spending the bucket-load of money my brother gave me!
Picked up the blazer months ago for $5 from the Balnarring op shop and it’s now bang on trend and attracting a bit of attention. As for the leather leggings, I highly recommend them, they are terrific under so many things.
Louis Vuitton is currently working mid-calf skirts and dresses over cropped pants and the look will be heading here soon. Personally, I’m not a fan. However, if someone threw the latest LV threads my way, I’d put them straight on!
If I was out to impress my man today, this is what I would have worn . . .
But the cold weather and lack of fake tan on the legs put an end to that. So on went the layers and leather leggings.
We ended up at a lovely cafe on the beach called Waves where I had a delicious lamb curry with all the trimmings, and hubby had beautifully tender calamari.
It was over too quickly. We kissed and parted ways, albeit briefly, so I could pick up the rascals and head home to cook dinner and light a fire.
If your kids are coming first all the time girls, I highly recommend you re-calibrate, and take some time out for you and your man.
“Work with enthusiasm, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.” Ephesians 6:7.
