It’s been a roller-coaster ride of emotions this week as my ‘baby’ started prep!
After dropping him off on his first day I hit a local shopping centre where I was forced to keep the tears in and I found myself wandering around dazed and lost without my little buddy.
But the following day was a different story as the freedom factor kicked in! Mum and I raced off for some treasure hunting (clothes, jewellery and shoes). And boy did we find some goodies, including an embellished skirt that is very Sass & Bide style. I’ll unleash them on you in the coming weeks.
Lets start with this leopard print Caroline Morgan dress – perfect for school drop-off.
Animal print is still firmly on the fashion radar overseas and looks set for big things here this winter.
I found these Franco Burrone metallic wedges last year in my favourite Chelsea op shop for a few dollars. They are designer – I bought a strappy pair in Toorak Rd years ago for about $200 – and complete with leather soles. Metallics are still huge fashion news and copper is currently the ‘it’ color.
There’s still a few $3 goodies left at the Diva sale and this beaded copper cuff was one I grabbed on Monday. The Guess animal print bag is an oldie but a goody.
These beige sandals rarely see sunlight but they are very comfy and came in handy for the school run. I picked them up at a Target post-Christmas sale last year for less than $20.
Enjoy the summery weather if you’re in Melbourne this week! And now you’re Looking Good Girls.
