We are off to the ‘outlaws’ for Christmas dinner tonight and I’ve selected laid-back Parisian chic over dressing to the nine’s!
When I found this dress in Supre last year for $15 and started wearing it I actually had two guys stop me and ask where I’d bought it, saying they wanted to buy one for their sweethearts. I’m serious! And I know they were genuine because they weren’t sleazebags.
I don’t know what’s going on this summer because that hasn’t happened. Maybe I was looking a bit more svelte and tanned last summer and definitely less worn out! I’ve really got to keep away from the chocolate but it’s irresistable, there’s a small mountain of chocolate balls and Lindt in the fridge, all of it gifts of course.
A strapless maxi like this lends itself to all sorts of decoration and shoes. I was thinking white Nine West heels, or maybe the grey Betts platforms but I’m going with the silver Target sandals I picked up at the last post-Christmas sale for under $20.
These silver sandals are old favourites.
I thought I’d stumbled on a pair of Louboutin’s when I found these platforms in the op shop as they have the signature red underneath . . . sadly they are Betts.
