This bright and cheery expression belies how tired I was feeling before heading off to church this morning.
I must be carrying a backpack-size load of worries this week because I keep waking at some ridiculous hour of the night, notably 3am, and tossing and turning for a couple of hours before finally drifting back to sleep. Do you have nights like this?
Usually I’m good at chatting to God and handing my troubles over to him, then I walk and sleep in a blanket of his perfect peace. Not this week. So I knew what I had to do this morning . . . go up the front for prayer. And now that I’m home and rugged up on the couch, I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. I feel so relaxed but ready to pass out for a nanna nap!
But my beautiful parents have arrived with a trailer load of wood for the fire, most of which Dad chainsawed to size specially for us. How amazingly selfless is that? So the nap is on hold for a while and I’m off to help offload.
You won’t be seeing bare legs much longer, it’s getting too cold. Paired this knife-edge pleated watermelon skirt with a Dotti lace top, graphic print jacket and silver Betts court-shoes. Added Lovisa beaded earrings, pure silk silver bracelet and diamante cuff. And now you’re Looking Good Girls!
“But those who trust in the Lord will renew their strength; they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and now grow weary; they will walk and not faint,” Isaiah 40:31.
thats our gorgeous girl!!! imagine how good you’ll look now you’ve off-loaded….& I dont mean wood! funny that, how often the physical echoes the spiritual when it’s Jesus talking.
Just need the cyclist to stop setting his alarm at 5.30am! Xxx
