Can you get away with wearing sequins during the day? The answer is a resounding yes.
This gorgeous sequinned jacket, which my generous brother bought on the Island of Ibiza (talk about lifestyles of the rich and the glamorous!) is perfect for nighttime but I managed to dress it down a fraction with these nude pink Cotton On jeans and booties from French Pony boutique in Brighton.
After all, if I was waiting for a spectacular night out to wear it, it might have cobwebs on it by now! There hasn’t exactly been any spare cash around here for a big night on the town.
Truth be told, this time last year we were living in a huge house a stone’s throw from the beach and had three businesses on the go. Fast forward 12 months and we are living miles from the beach and feeling some serious financial pain. It is a situation I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy (thankfully I don’t think I have one of those!). I’m believing God is going to step in and turn things around and the reason I’m laying it all out is because I want you to be part of this journey and see what can happen when you step out in faith.
In the past week I have watched dear friends battling serious illness, losing loved ones, and defending themselves in daunting court cases. And I have seen them rise above their circumstances as a loving heavenly father has filled them with supernatural peace that defies all understanding. We all face major challenges at different times but doing it with joy and peace in your heart sure beats the alternatives.
The sun brought such warmth today and spending the day with my beautiful mum brought such internal warmth. There’s nothing like having special, supportive people around you when your chips are down. And now you’re Looking Good Girls.
“Therefore don’t worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own,” Matthew 6:34.
Thanks for the beautiful words and especially the scripture letting tomorrow’s worry’s be tomorrows. As I’m lying here in hospital with an Umbelical hernia mesh repair surgery that has a had few hiccups. I can be thankful I have a wonderful husband, family and friends helping with logistics of four children at home who are all settled and content whilst I get amazing medical attention. I will sleep well tonight with great pain relief and will face tomorrow, tomorrow!

Oh Jennie I will be having a big old pray for you & your lovely family tonight. I was tossing up between two scriptures – God knows what we need to hear. Bless your sleep & recovery. Xxx
Didn’t realise you were in hospital ! Am standing with you in faith for speedy total restoration of health and also am inspired by your peace at this time.
I’m not in hospital, thankfully! Jennie Friebel is and I’m sure she’d love your prayers.
This is lovely and you look so cute, Love your boot 🙂
Thanks for your input. Love heels but comfy is good for a busy mum.
It takes tremendous courage to be open about financial losses and I admire you for being a witness to the fact that we are far greater than the sum total of our bank account or material possessions. Many are on the same journey as silent partners. Your attitude is inspirational.
What lovely words, thank you Kerri. By being vulnerable it allows others to do the same. Thanks for your encouragement. xxx
the joy you show despite your trials is a testimony of your faith in His steadfast promises and that He is faithful and will see you through. He WILL do it ! I am also going through difficulties as are many others and want to show that same joy! You have inspired me and l thank you Amber .
I’m deeply touched thanks Jocelyn, and I’m sorry to hear you are having a hard time. The joy comes from looking up and not at our circumstances. Praise and worship is very powerful, especially when you don’t feel like it! xxx
