It may be cold and grey outside but I’m brightening up my weekend with this new emerald green nailpolish. I was on a mission to find a great teal green polish last week but got a little side-tracked with this stunning colour.
Teal green is going to be the belle du jour this autumn/winter in clothing, accessories and nailpolish, and looks amazing paired with grey, tan, white, black, burgundy and red.
Need proof? Here’s the latest photo of supermodel Heidi Klum at LAX Airport wearing teal and grey (picture from Zimbio Alerts).
I found this great collection of beaded bracelets to match my new polish at the Collette jewellery sale, where I went a little bit wild.
So many great neckpieces, rings, earrings & arm candy were already marked down but last week they had slashed a further 50% off.
I’m having lots of fun with this silver neckpiece which I found at the sale and swiftly added to my jewellery buffet.
And there was this bangle – serious bling when combined with this eye-popping ring. My nails remained beautifully intact all day yesterday but cooking was limited to porridge for breakfast (for me) and poached eggs on toast for my eldest boy. Lunch was sushi on the run, followed by Japanese takeaway for dinner; yummo! Today the new polish has chipped off every nail on my right hand, grrrrrrrr!
The sombre weather is fitting for Anzac Day, as we remember the many courageous soldiers who have fought for the freedoms we so richly enjoy in our country. Whatever you’re doing this weekend, make sure you pause a moment to remember them, and pray for our soldiers stationed all over the world.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
