A hit of yellow is a great way to inject colour on a dreary Autumn day and it’s an idea being embraced by royalty and top international designers.
The Duchess of Cambridge Catherine Middleton did it so elegantly last week in a bright yellow Roksanda Ilincic dress during her debut appearance in Australia.
The bright hue is also making waves on the catwalk with designers favouring yellow handbags to liven up conservative outfits.
I picked up these yellow jeans in the city last year on a marathon shopping spree. I’d love to wear them with strappy heels but the temperature is plummeting and these Zu over-the-knee boots are the happy place for my feet . . . it’s either these or my divine Ugg boots!
I have to say a big thank you to the two girls in a car with P-plates, who stopped and asked if I needed a lift when I got caught walking in a downpour last week. I resembled a drowned rat and they were so thoughtful to stop. I politely declined and continued on, slushy sneakers and all, only to encounter an older couple just metres away, who didn’t even stop to let me cross the road!
I’ve spent the morning splashing around with Lincoln at an indoor swimming centre and my head and body are begging me to lay down in front of the fire. But I have to pick up Hudson, my other energetic bundle, from a basketball training day. I’m well and truly over the school holidays. And now you’re Looking Good Girls!
