With the temperature dipping below 20 degrees today it was time to pull on a fur vest – a must trans-seasonal staple in every fashionista’s wardrobe.
I’m just back from a little Easter getaway with my gorgeous family and it was relaxing and exhausting at the same time! Every mum reading this will know exactly what I’m talking about when I tell you I had a sick child. What that basically entails is massive sleep deprivation, extra washing and a lot of running around (for medicine, etc).
The relaxing part involved sitting for large chunks of time with a cup of tea, latest fashion magazine and Bible in hand on what is fondly known as the love seat – a two-seater Balinese style wicker chair with an oversized cushion. The best bit was the vantage point on the balcony overlooking the beautiful Gippsland Lakes. There’s something incredibly relaxing about staring at water and watching boats gently motoring or sailing past. Incredibly, I saw a pod of dolphins on the first morning – about eight of them playfully diving out of the water.
Now back to the outfit . . .
Paired the vest – which is faux of course – with snakeskin Sportsgirl jeans and a perforated top. It was all a bit dark and dull, nothing a bit of pink neon couldn’t fix! I bought this Lorna Jane neon sports top from a friend – check out Nicole’s Surf eStore.
Interesting rings, particularly thin rings like these, worn at various points on fingers, are enjoying a major fashion moment. I picked up these five at Lovisa last week for $5.
These lace-up boots are going to see me through winter. I’m planning to try them with a feminine dress or skirt. And now you’re Looking Good Girls!
“Keep looking up – the waves that roar around your feet, Jehovah-Jireh will defeat when looking up.
Keep looking up – though darkness seems to wrap your soul; the light of light will fill your soul when looking up.
Keep looking up – when worn, distracted with the fight; Your Captain gives you conquering might when you look up.” Taken from Streams in the Desert by LB Cowman.
