I knew last night that I wanted to wear this dress today, but I wasn’t quite sure what to do with it! With all the draping and ruching I felt a bit like one of those Shar Pei dogs that grow into all their folds of skin.
So I rolled my sleeves up and got into my wardrobe – literally! When you have everything – including shoes and accessories – on display, it makes putting an outfit together so much easier.
I reached for a black lace singlet to wear under it – I didn’t want to flash too much flesh at my ladies’ group!
And I wasn’t in the mood for teetering around in sky-high heels (I had to set up the room which involves moving chairs from one room to another), so my fave cowboy boots were perfect. I was considering a metallic belt then remembered I had a belt in the same tone.
And of course it wouldn’t be the same without my new Hunt No More leather jacket! I warned you it would be on high rotation, and it’s not even winter yet. For those of you into the finer details, the teal green of the jacket complements the green stitching in the boots.
Capped off the look with some chandelier beaded earrings, a couple of thin gold rings, and the perfect little Fiorelli snakeskin handbag.
I was offered work on the long-running television show Neighbours this week but it meant being on set, miles away, by 7.15am. I was reluctant to pass it up but lo and behold, an opportunity came along today to work on another tv show next week called Winners & Losers. Bring it on baby! And now you’re Looking Good Girls.
“But I will sing of your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love; for you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble,” Psalm 59:16.
