I am a risk-taker when it comes to fashion and I make no apologies for that. But I really got my brave on today and transformed a red lace corset into day-wear.
The red really pops against the distressed blue jeans, which are a great way to tone down the look. Heels would have added drama but I opted for silver studded Country Road flats.
Corsets were totally in vogue last season but models are now revelling in slip dresses on the catwalk, with undergarments on show under sheer and whispy fabrics. Makes this racy red number look pretty tame really . . .
For a bit of extra warmth and school pick-up cover up, I threw on a black knit. I wonder if my boys will think I’m being too risque and try and button my jacket up!
In celebration of today being the first day of the last month of winter (that’s a mouthful!) I bared my tootsies in these Country Road ballet flats. It’s pedi time girls, in readiness for the strappy heels. But if you want to save time and money, scrub your feet in the shower with a pumice stone, then lather on a cracked heel cream from a chemist, and slip into a pair of cotton socks and wear them to bed. And now you’re Looking Good Girls!
