This magnificent tree-lined driveway leads onto a farm owned by the late Dame Elisabeth Murdoch, a generous-hearted philanthropist and mother of international media mogul Rupert Murdoch.
Hubby was hesitant about getting snap-happy on the property but I waltzed in like the intrepid journalist of old! Cruden Farm’s country garden and sprawling surrounds is open to the public on designated days and offers a taste of the country in the middle of suburbia.
I livened things up in this multi-coloured Valleygirl dress; putting emphasis on one of my favourite color combo’s of pink and powder blue.
Backpack’s like this animal-print Modapelle baby continue to enjoy the fashion limelight. It’s light-weight to wear (perfect for last-minute Christmas shopping), highly functional with all its pockets and compartments, and it looks good. The best bit – I picked it up for a couple of dollars from a thrift shop!

My boys have taken off for a couple of days with my parents – it’s the first time I’ve been away from them for two nights running. I wonder if Mum’s regretting her generous offer yet! I’m certainly not – the peace is amazing and it was great to finally get some exercise and enjoy a coffee out with hubby. I could easily have spent the entire day on the couch wrapped in a velvet-soft blanket.
