Old fashion rules like never mixing cream and white, or green and blue, have been thrown out and now just about anything goes and frankly, I’m revelling in it.
Not that I’m one to follow someone else’s rules – I prefer to flow with my own creative instincts. It’s great dabbling in the latest trends but it’s far more important to develop your own style – trends are fickle; style is eternal.
Speaking of fickle, belts are back in a big way! Embellished, patent, super-wide, ultra thin, whatever the look, you’re sure to find something to suit your fashion-buds. Belts are making a statement on the international catwalks but most stores are yet to catch on.
Here’s the Collette Dinnigan designed ring stack I promised you a look at. I had to rummage through a myriad of rings at Lovisa to find it but it was worth it; even the little fresh-water pearls are the real deal.
Snakeskin is still BIG news in fashion and I just happened to have a chain-handle bag to match these heels. Perfecto! Not that bags and shoes have to match anymore – that too is passe. But I had fun embracing some of the latest trends today – fur, studs and cuffed jeans.
I’m about to drag hubby and the boys to the park for a kick of footy (think I’ll sneak a fashion mag and cup of tea over with me and slink off to a sunny spot!). Enjoy the rest of your weekend. And now you’re Looking Good Girls!
Some of the ’51 things you can do that will bless your kids’, taken from Rachelmariemartin’s blog today at church:
Let them try, let them make mistakes, tell them you love them every single day, tell them you are proud of them, fight for them, goal set with them, give them grace, schedule fun, spend time together, play games, listen to them, let them see you dream, let them end the hug, care more about their hearts, forgive, laugh, look them in the eye when they talk, put your phone down at dinner, let them dream, let them create, let them imagine, embrace who they are, go to bed thankful for them, be thankful for time together, and enjoy this day, live it fully and look for joy.
You look lovely.
Thanks sweety! This is one of my faves too. xxx
